As “Mom” always said, “if I have said it once, I’ve said it a million times”. That’s how I feel about the talent and gifts we have right here in our own church family. So far this year, the Silver Saints have enjoyed presentations by our Bee Keeper, our story teller, the Sonshine Strings and this month our very own Lana Brown visited with us and shared the many events and services that are offered by Jefferson County’s Senior Center. It is obvious that Lana’s job requires a rare and wonderful gift and talent, requiring a caring and patient nature. Thank you Lana for visiting with us and for what you do everyday for the Seniors of Jefferson County.
Byrl Clayton called the meeting to order with her “trademark” whistle. I always wonder how many times Gregory Clayton heard that whistle growing up!! That would make ME come to the dinner table. Betty Hill presented an uplifting spiritual enrichment and it has been wonderful having her back and active in our group.
Remember, Dee Counts will be our guest in February and if you have not had the opportunity to see and hear her presentations on Jefferson County History, you are in for a real treat. Come and join us on February 9th in the Fellowship Hall at 11:00 A.M. for great fellowship, a good program and a great covered dish luncheon.
